Antifragile：反脆弱性

 

Vinod Khoslaが以前スタンフォード・ビジネス・スクールのインタビューで言及していたブラックスワンの著者による『Antifragile』（邦訳：反脆弱性）。

"an option is what makes you antifragile and allows you to benefit from the positive side of uncertainty, without a corresponding serious harm from the negative side."

というのは実はVCの真髄です。

VCを産んだ米国のアセットはリスク・テークとオプションの活用にあり、対して今の日本は失敗を恥とし、人々はリスクを隠して目を頭り、事なかれとする姿勢が原発事故を招く、日本には敗者への敬意、判官贔屓の伝統がある筈だが、と手厳しい。これが今の日本の世界からの見え方になっています。これは何とか変えたいですね。

"Like Britain in the Industrial Revolution, America’s asset is, simply, risk taking and the use of optionality, this remarkable ability to engage in rational forms of trial and error, with no comparative shame in failing, starting again, and repeating failure.
